About Us

The Women's Employment, Enterprise & Training Unit (WEETU) was set up as an independent voluntary agency in 1987 in Norwich and is a not for profit Company Limited by Guarantee. WEETU helps women take control of their economic lives. We offer advice, training and support to develop employment and enterprise opportunities.

Our Mission and Objectives

WEETU helps women to take control of their economic lives through offering advice, training and support to develop employment and enterprise opportunities.

To help us achieve our mission we aim to achieve the following objectives:

To provide information, advice and support to women on education, training, employment, self-employment and related issues and to assist them in making informed decisions about career plans

To lobby both public and private sector organisations and communicate to them the needs of women in education, training and employment issues

To facilitate education and training initiatives in the public and private sector and if necessary to provide training from within the unit

Staff

Weetu has 9 members of staff along with an army of associate trainers and advisors.

The new team is very enthusiastic and are enjoying developing existing training and support programmes while also piloting new services to meet the changing needs of the women we support.
