Volunteering Opportunity

Thursday 10th June 2010

If you are wanting to exercise your financial savoir faire, the local branch of the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign would love to hear from you.

They urgently need a volunteer treasurer to take over from the present incumbent who needs to retire from the post. Ideally, whoever takes on the role needs to be able to attend the monthly meetings in Norwich to receive, and later bank, the cash collected by fundraisers.

Fundraisers and other volunteers are always needed too, as there are more than 700 families in Norfolk who have a type of muscle disease or related condition supported by the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign. So we'd be pleased to hear from you if you can:

• spare an hour occasionally to help with a street or store collection in your area, or
• help count the money afterwards.
• put a collection box in your local shop and empty it regularly.
• get involved in any other way.
